Stay tuned for 2020 Season Announcement ....

MCAC believes the arts unite -- the arts bring communities together.  One way we unite the county is through our annual series of artists. We will unveil our 2020 season (our most ambitious yet) at the January fundraiser.  The season is filled with quality artists performing throughout Marshall County. (Highlights include a Christmas show created by the 2009 World Champion of Irish Dance; a band who plays hot jazz and western swing; and a band that’s in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!)

Musical Revue: "Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice at the Replay Lounge"

7 pm January 17 & 18, 2 pm January 19

The Marshall County Arts Cooperative’s annual musical revue fundraiser “Sugar and  Spice and Everything Nice at the Replay Lounge” will be Friday and Saturday, January 17 and 18, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, January 19, at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post 163, Marysville.

Advance tickets are $15 and may be purchased at CJ Express East and West, Marysville; CJ Express, Frankfort; Table Six Cafe (formerly the Beattie Cafe), Beattie; and My Sister’s Kitchen, Waterville.  If the performances do not sell out as they have the past four years, tickets at the door are $20.

This is the thirteenth year for the cooperative’s signature event that features local singers in a two act cabaret-style performance.

This year’s show features nine members in the core musical ensemble:  Brian Cook, Mandy Cook, Brian Fragel, Wayne Kruse, Rachel Massoth, Kim Stewart, Todd Sandmann, Annamarie Wagner, and Matt Wassenberg.

Cindy Voet is the musical director and conducts the nine-member band.

As the show’s title suggests, the ensemble will sing songs about sugar and spice and everything nice: “American Honey," "Sweet Home Chicago," "It's So Nice To Be With You," and "Sweet Caroline."

“It's a fun theme,” Brian Cook said.  “It has allowed us to sing some great songs that might not have ever come up in any future themes.  But in the grand scheme of things, the most important number is the dollar amount raised by this event in support of the arts in our community.”
